Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year. Disability studies. Mental and social health services and allied professions, other. Psychiatric/mental health nurse/nursing. Nursing assistant/aide and patient care assistant/aide. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Personal and social adjustment and health (substance abuse, gambling, behaviour disorders). Socio-economic needs or conditions (housing, nutrition, unemployment, financial assistance). Work setting: Work in employer's/client's home. Community agency. Tasks: Prepare reports or case histories. Appraise clients' needs or eligibility for specific services. Perform administrative tasks. Implement life skills workshops. Housekeeping activities. Food preparation. Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients. Assist clients/guests with special needs. Accompany clients to appointments and social outings. Provide personal care. Perform other duties related to personal care. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Mandt System training. Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate. Cultural Awareness Training. Medication Administration Certificate. First Aid Certificate. CPR Certificate. Food Safety Certificate.
