Marie technical team is looking for an <strong>Electrical Engineer</strong> to join their team <strong>on-site </strong>who will plan, organize and direct engineering activities to optimize wind and hydropower facilities. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team that provides technical support to our operations groups and completes capital projects for our Ontario assets.</p><p><strong>Who we are:</strong></p><p>Evolugen is Brookfield Renewable's Canadian operations business. As an industry leader, our mission is to develop and deploy sustainable solutions designed to accelerate our transition to a low-carbon future in Canada.</p><p><strong>You'll want to join our team for:</strong></p><ul><li>The competitive compensation package</li><li>Opportunities for professional growth</li><li>Our health, dental & paramedical benefits</li><li>Our retirement savings plan</li></ul><p><strong>What you'll be doing:</strong></p><ul><li>Provide engineering advice and develop engineering solutions and supervise the development and revision of preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance programs, policies and procedures;</li><li>Assist in capital and maintenance budget preparation and prioritize, plan and schedule of work budgeted including recommendations on retention of consultants;</li><li>Propose improvements and evaluate new technologies to minimize operating costs, risk and potential losses and maximize potential generation;</li><li>Coordinate the development, design and commissioning of engineering projects and serve as Project Manager for project delivery and implementation;</li><li>Manage and/or participate in projects such as managing work, RFP's, specs and drawings, proposal review and contract award, tendering phase, debriefing, quality assurance and finalization;</li><li>Prepare, review, negotiate and finalize contract documents and supervise contract administration to ensure compliance with permits, policies and codes.</li></ul><p><strong>You should apply if you:</strong></p><ul><li>Have considerable field engineering, commissioning and project management experience; hydrology experience preferred</li><li>Are knowledgeable of power generation technologies</li><li>Possess excellent negotiation, facilitation and leadership skills, discretion and judgement;</li><li>Are able to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team and to manage multiple concurrent projects;</li><li>Have strong verbal and written communication skills and planning, prioritizing and organizing abilities;</li><li>Are proficient with Microsoft applications;</li><li>Maintain a strong personal commitment to continuous improvement;</li><li>Value excellence in safety and environmental performance.</li></ul><p><strong>What you must have:</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in Electrical Engineering field engineering and project management experience;</li><li>Degree in engineering, and registration (or eligible for registration) as a P. Eng. in Ontario;</li><li>Demonstrated experience in the following areas:<ul><li>PLC, RTU, HMI and Multiplexer (Schneider MODICON, SEL RTAC, Wonderware, GE JungleMUX)</li><li>IESO, NERC and Transmission System Code/Standard compliance Activities</li><li>Generation, Transmission and associated protections controls and testing</li><li>Power Engineering</li><li>Automation Engineering</li></ul></li><li>Ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team and can manage multiple c- LocationSault Ste.
