This position is responsible for direct daily supervisor of the warehouse employees to ensure the safe, clean, and efficient operation of the warehouse that meets service standards and operational goals. In this role you will be responsible and accountable for providing positive leadership and oversight to the Shipping & Receiving operations teams ensuring efficiency and effectiveness of all aspects of the warehouse. This individual will work primarily out of the Dwight Warehouse location but will require the ability to travel to both locations regularly. Although the primary schedule for this individual is 40 hours per week, Tuesday to Saturday our ideal candidate can work a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of the business which may include occasional evenings and weekends. *Responsibilities* * Supervise all inbound and outbound shipments to ensure they are accurate, meet quality standard and are carried out in a timely manner * Assist in training and motivating employees to increase operational effectiveness * Understand all warehouse SOP?s and systems utilizing Warehouse, ERP and Labour Management software * Develop and implement shipping and receiving work schedules and assignments to ensure an effective and efficient use of labour * Monitor and manage warehouse employees? timesheets, schedules, and Time Off Requests in Dayforce * Quality Control, will be taught how to inspect fresh produce * Count Inventory ( #1 & #2 Stock ) into the ERP System * Work closely with buyers, sales and operations for process improvement * Floor Merchandising and Displaying Products * Advise Operations Management and People Development of any attendance/tardiness issues with warehouse employees * Ensure compliance of food safety policies in warehouse and take corrective action when required * Ensure that all records and reports for warehouse activity are prepared timely and effectively * Reinforce employee Health & Safety awareness by communicating equipment/procedure changes to employees * Provides general communication on relevant safety issues and concerns *Candidate Requirements * Qualifications: * A college diploma in business administration or related logistics field with some experience in warehouse and distribution operations * Demonstrate front-line supervision experience in addition to leadership, organization, and communication skills * Must be capable of applying effective communication skills orally and written with demonstrated proficiency in MS Word, excel and PP * Analytical and problem-solving skills * Familiar with all material handling equipment * Knowledge of all appropriate health and safety practices * Demonstrated record of providing excellence in customer service Personal Attributes: * Strong leadership and team development skills * Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines * Ability to manage performance * Demonstrate a positive ?Can-Do? attitude * Exceptional verbal and written communication skills * Detail-oriented, well organ
