Our company's success is driven by our dynamic, highly skilled, and innovative management team, supported by dedicated employees who live in coastal communities and contribute to the local area's economy and sense of community.The RoleAs a result of our robust growth, we are adding a Deckhand/Bridge Watch to our team of professionals. Primary duties of this role include but are not limited to: Perform Watch keeping duties as requiredPerform fire and security roundsPerform general maintenance and hygiene duties as directed, including painting, cleaning, planned maintenance workOther duties as assigned. Qualifications/Requirements/Attributes: Bridge Watch Rating Certificate of Competency (Transport Canada) to SCTW 95Marine Emergency Duties (MED) A1Valid Standard First Aid and CPRWHMIS CertificateValid Passport with the ability to enter the USValid Transport Canada Marine MedicalAble to handle multiple tasksExperience in a Canadian marine environment in bridge look-out duties and steering dutiesExperience using deck machinery or equipmentA certification in the Transportation of Dangerous Goods will be considered an asset.As per company policy, a clear result of a pre-employment criminal background check.Salary commensurate with experience which includes a competitive health and dental benefit package.The OpportunityThe role description is just one part of the story.
