We are looking for *licensed pharmacists* (full and part-time) to join our growing team! *Job Title:* *Pharmacist* *Salary: $50-$70 hourly (negotiable/flexible based on experience and location)* We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented pharmacist to join our team. The pharmacist will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for patients, providing pharmaceutical care, and promoting patient well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a thorough understanding of pharmaceutical practices, and a commitment to excellent patient care. *Key Responsibilities:* * Dispense prescribed medications to patients, ensuring accuracy and safety. * Provide counseling to patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions. * Review prescriptions for completeness, accuracy, and appropriateness, and verify with physicians as necessary. * Monitor patient profiles for potential drug interactions, contraindications, and allergies. * Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize therapeutic outcomes. * Educate patients on general health topics, such as lifestyle changes and chronic disease management. * Manage inventory and ensure medications are stored properly and securely. * Stay up to date on the latest pharmaceutical research, trends, and regulations. * Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, medications, and patient interactions. * Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures for pharmaceutical operations. * Support the preparation and dispensing of specialized medications (e.g., sterile products, chemotherapy). *Qualifications:* * Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution. * Valid pharmacist license, member in good standing. * Strong knowledge of pharmacology, pharmaceutical compounding, and drug interactions. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and healthcare teams. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy. * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. * Experience in retail, hospital, or clinical pharmacy settings is a plus. *Preferred Skills:* * Board Certification in a pharmaceutical specialty. * Experience with medication therapy management (MTM). * Knowledge of insurance billing procedures and formulary systems. * Ability to educate and mentor pharmacy technicians and interns. *Working Conditions:* * The position may require standing for extended periods, working weekends, and handling stressful situations in a fast-paced environment. *Locations: * *Ontario* · Barrie (Full-Time) *If you are interested, please email your resume directly to hr@chironrx.ca by no later than March 2nd, 2025, including your salary expectations, availability and location of interest (feel free to specify multiple). *Thank you for your interest, if you have any questions, please don?t hesitate to reach out to hr@chironrx.ca directly.
