We are motivated by a passion for delivering the highest quality of products to our extensive client base. *ABOUT THE ROLE * As an Assistant Plant Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring efficient day-to-day operations at our seafood processing facility. You?ll work closely with the Plant Manager and production team to maintain high-quality standards, optimize workflows, and lead production staff to meet business objectives. This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring proven seafood processing experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. *WHAT YOU?LL DO * * Support the Plant Manager and work closely with the Production Manager in overseeing daily production activities, ensuring operational efficiency and quality control. * Plan and coordinate production schedules, balancing material availability and labor requirements. * Optimize plant equipment and workforce utilization to increase production capacity and reduce costs. * Collect, maintain, and analyze production data to improve efficiency and inform decision-making. * Maintain high-quality standards while developing and implementing new processing procedures. * Assist with logistics for all incoming and outgoing products to ensure smooth operations. * Train, develop and collaborate with plant staff to build a strong and capable team. * Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and implement best practices to maintain a safe work environment. * Troubleshoot operational challenges, proactively addressing issues to minimize downtime. * Assist as needed by operating our forklifts both inside and outside our production and cold storage areas. *WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE * * Previous experience in seafood processing industry required. * Strong leadership and problem-solving skills with the ability to motivate a team. * Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. * Strong organizational and time management abilities. * Experience with plant operations, or production scheduling. * Knowledge of seafood safety regulations and processing best practices. * Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment. * Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. * Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management abilities. * Fluent English skills; fluency in Chinese, Japanese or Vietnamese is an asset. * A proactive mindset and ability to work well with the team in a collaborative environment. *WHAT?S IN IT FOR YOU * Aero Trading prioritizes taking care of their team and rewarding contributions.
