Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Rural area. Urban area. Tasks: Operate and drive automobiles, vans and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products. Professionalism in customer service. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Keep a record of items received and delivered. Load and unload goods. Follow directions and read map. Use maps and other trip planning aids. Record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs and any problems. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks and other 2-axle vehicles). Security and safety: Criminal record check. Bondable. Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Vehicle supplied by employer. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Tight deadlines.
