*About Polaris Eye Care* Polaris Eye Care is a modern optometry clinic dedicated to providing thoughtful, patient-focused eye care in a warm and welcoming environment. We are seeking a motivated Optometric Assistant who enjoys working with people, learning new skills, and contributing to a positive clinic environment. This role is ideal for someone who is personable, adaptable, and able to multitask in a busy setting. Training will be provided. *What You?ll Do* * Welcome patients warmly and help guide them through their visit * Help patients select frames and lenses and perform fittings and adjustments * Assist with optical sales and day-to-day clinic operations * Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting clinic and retail space * Book, confirm, and manage eye exam appointments * Assist with patient pre-testing and prepare patients for their eye exams (training provided) * Support contact lens fittings and patient education (training provided) * Handle administrative tasks such as verifying insurance information and processing payments * Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth clinic flow *We?d Love to Meet Someone Who Is:* * Friendly, personable, and comfortable interacting with patients * Able to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail * Quick to learn and open to feedback * Organized and reliable, with good follow-through * A team player who contributes positively to the workplace *Experience* * Customer service or retail experience preferred (healthcare an asset) * Strong communication skills, both verbal and written * Comfortable learning new systems and processes * Previous optical experience or familiarity with optical products is a plus but not required *Why Join Our Team?* * Supportive training and mentorship * A welcoming, team-focused clinic culture * Opportunity to grow and develop skills in eye care * Make an impactful positive difference in the lives of our patients Job Type: Full-time Pay: $17.60-$21.00 per hour Benefits: * Paid time off * Store discount * Vision care Application question(s): * Tell us briefly why you enjoy working with people or patients. * This role involves learning new clinical and optical skills.
