We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Optometric Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, has strong attention to detail, and is passionate about healthcare and patient service. Responsibilities * Welcome patients and assist them throughout their visit * Perform preliminary testing and gather patient information prior to examinations * Accurately document patient history and update electronic health records * Prepare patients for examinations and assist the Optometrist as needed * Educate patients about procedures, products, and services * Maintain examination rooms, equipment, and clinical areas * Coordinate patient flow to ensure appointments run efficiently * Support reception duties, including scheduling appointments and answering phone inquiries when required * Assist with contact lens training, eyewear selection, and other patient care services as needed Qualifications * Previous experience in optometry, healthcare, medical administration, or customer service is an asset but not required * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail * Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment * Comfortable learning and using electronic medical record systems and diagnostic equipment * Professional, reliable, and patient-focused What We Offer * Competitive compensation based on experience * Comprehensive training and ongoing professional development * Supportive and collaborative team environment * Staff discounts on eyewear and optical products * Opportunities for career growth within the practice Schedule * Part-time position with the opportunity to transition into a full-time role * Monday to Saturday availability preferred * Flexible scheduling based on clinic needs * Open availability is preferred * This position is not suitable for students To Apply Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your qualifications and interest in joining our team.
