Tasks: Read blueprints to determine work requirements . Instruct apprentices. Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages. Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, structural tiles or other masonry units. Lay bricks, stone or similar materials to provide veneer facing. Restore, clean or paint existing masonry structures. Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Suspended access equipment training. Occupational Health and Safety Certificate. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Equipment and machinery experience: Industrial lift trucks and fork-lifts. Power tools. Hand tools. Cleaning experience: Brick and stone building exteriors. Area of specialization: Construction. Steeplejack. Transportation/travel information: Willing to travel. Public transportation is available. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to distinguish between colours. Attention to detail. Bending, crouching, kneeling.
