Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Develop budget to determine cost of food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen and cleaning supplies. Plan and organize daily operations. Supervise staff. Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures. Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies. Address customers' complaints or concerns. Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food. Inspect sites or facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness standards. Ensure that local health and sanitation regulations are carried out. Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages. Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment. Supervise food and beverage servers and other staff. Help with scheduling and workflow.
