Together we are working with Nova Scotians to build a better future through sustainable natural resource management as we all benefit from the natural health and wealth of the province.</span> </span></p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>About Our Opportunity</b></H2></div><div><p> </p><p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">As the Supply Technician 2, you will be responsible for the procurement of goods and services for the Shubenacadie fleet operation and parts/supply requests to support off-site servicing or repair. Through this opportunity, you will have opportunity to see and familiarize yourself with the equipment that maintains our Province.</span></p><p><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">You will proactively determine the items required for the stock rooms, initiate requisitions and orders to replenish the inventory and maintain optimum inventory stock levels. You will ensure our inventory is fully prepped and readily available to meet operational needs by promoting the standardization of procurement, working with fleet personnel to establish specifications for parts and coordinating equipment purchases, disposals and parts records. </span></p><p> </p><p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">You will also work closely with the Fleet Coordinator when considering best value procurement strategies to ensure the fleet operating budget is maintained, and meaningful control systems are implemented. </span></p><p> </p><p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Building strong relationships with vendors and suppliers will be crucial for you in this role. You will work with various stakeholders across the Province including the Nova Scotia Government Purchasing Agency, Department of Finance, Enforcement Division of NSE, Mechanical Branches and supplier representatives and vendors.</span></p><p><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">This position will report to the Fleet Service Coordinator.</span></p></div></div><div styl- Location Shubenacadie, NSB0N 2H0
