*Pay:* CA$42,000.00-CA$45,000.00 per year Job description: *Job Summary* We are seeking a reliable and organized *Truck Dispatcher* to coordinate loads, communicate with drivers, and ensure efficient operations. The ideal candidate has experience in freight dispatching, strong negotiation skills, and knowledge of industry regulations. *Key Responsibilities* * Source and book loads using load boards and broker relationships * Negotiate freight rates to maximize profitability * Dispatch drivers and provide clear load instructions * Monitor drivers? Hours of Service (HOS) compliance * Track shipments and provide status updates to brokers/customers * Minimize deadhead miles and optimize routes * Handle detention, layovers, TONU, and accessorials * Maintain accurate records and submit paperwork for billing * Ensure compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations *Qualifications* * Previous dispatching experience preferred (1+ years) * Strong communication and negotiation skills * Understanding of HOS regulations * Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment * Proficiency in dispatch software and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace *Preferred Skills* * Experience working with owner-operators * Knowledge of freight lanes and market rates * Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills * Customer service experience Job Type: Full-time Benefits: * On-site parking * Paid time off Work Location: In person Pay: $42,000.00-$45,000.00 per year Benefits: * Casual dress * On-site parking * Paid time off Work Location: In person- Location Surrey, BC
