The Government of Canada has pledged $22.5M to Victoria’s Ogden Point cruise terminal for the construction of shore power infrastructure. The project is expected to improve water and air quality for visitors and support tourism in the region. There is currently no set date for the start of construction.
Work will begin this month on the new $289M cancer centre at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital. In spring, construction will begin on an expanded parkade, expected to be completed by the end of 2025. Afterward, construction will commence on a three-storey parkade across the street, with completion anticipated in 2026.
