Team Power Solutions, a Saskatoon-based electrical and automation industrial manufacturer, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Westinghouse Electric Company to support nuclear reactor projects in Canada and internationally. Team Power Solutions could manufacture key components for Westinghouse's reactors, using technology that could generate electricity as early as 2035.

The Government of Canada and Government of Saskatchewan are providing $9.4M towards crop-related research, in addition to $5.4 from industry partners. The funding supports 53 approved research projects including mapping soil sequestration, examining alternative genetic mechanics for resistance, and effects to prevent osteoporosis and bone fracture.
