The Manitoba Fitness Council says the sector has seen a strong post-pandemic recovery in 2024, with gyms opening new locations and increasing program offerings. The council estimated a 20% closure rate during the pandemic and noted that in 2023, most of the province’s gyms still hadn’t exceeded 75% of pre-pandemic registrations.
