The Castlegar Chamber of Commerce has opened a $8M multi-purpose building which will host economic development, tourism, and local business supports. The project received more than $1.4M from the Government of Canada and $3M from the Government of British Columbia.

The Governments of Canada and British Columbia have jointly opened the Fernie Skate Park. The governments provided a combined $1.28M for the project through the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program. The skate park will become a hub for Fernie’s youth programs.
