<p>Our client is a company specialized in the design, fabrication and installation of miscellaneous metals and structural steel for the construction industry.<span> </span>They are<span> </span>searching for a<span> </span><strong>Project Manager (PM)</strong><span> </span>to join its deeply experienced team. Their office is located in the West Island of Montreal.</p><p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><p>The candidate will work directly with the management team on the flow of information internally, to the client, and to subcontractors. The PM must be a highly motivated team player and goal-oriented individual that is willing to put the time and attention required to ensure the success of the projects.</p><p>Primary responsibilities include:</p><ul><li>Manage all functions and steps of the project life cycle.</li><li>Coordinating with the Production Managers for all shop drawings and fabrication.</li><li>Coordinate with the buyer for the purchase of all materials.</li><li>Coordinating with the Office Manager for all contract and project documentation.</li><li>Coordinating all interactions with the General Contractor?s PM?s and foremen.</li><li>Coordinating installation and ensuring that projects are completed on time.</li></ul><p><strong>SKILLS</strong></p><p>The candidate must have:</p><ul><li>An excellent understanding of the construction industry and project management.</li><li>An excellent understanding of miscellaneous metal and structural steel projects.</li><li>The ability to read, understand and interpret architectural and structural drawings to perform material take-off, estimation and prepare shop drawings.</li><li>Proficient understanding of current practices, methods and materials in construction.</li><li>Knowledge of building codes and standards in structural steel and miscellaneous metals.</li><li>Working knowledge and ability to understand AUTOCAD is an asset.</li><li>Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.</li></ul><p><strong>PROFILE</strong></p><p>The candidate must:</p><ul><li>Have excellent communication skills. Bi-Lingual French/English.</li><li>Have excellent planning and organizational skills.</li><li>Be highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges.</li><li>Have direct experience managing miscellaneous metals and structural steel projects either with the specialized sub-trade or with the general contractor.</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE</strong></p><p>- Preferred education at the bachelor level. Post secondary education with direct industry experience is accepted.</p><p>- Minimum 5 years experience in the construction industry.</p><p></p><p><strong>FULL TIME</strong></p><p><strong>SALARY</strong></p><p><strong></strong>A competitive salary is offered based on experience.</p>- LocationSaint-Laurent, QC
