We have supplied Western Canada, Eastern Canada and the territories with high quality miscellaneous structural steel since 2010. We are a fully equipped structural steel shop and we handle all aspects of fabrication including the preparation of steel parts, fabrication and welding, priming/painting, shipments and more? We are searching for a fitter/welder to join our skilled team. *Main tasks and responsibilities:* Ø Min. 3 years experience as a structural fitter; Ø Proficiency in reading/interpreting blueprints; Ø Layout, measure, square up and tack various structural steel components; Ø Weld and finish assemblies with careful attention to detail; Ø CWB GMAW flat/horizontal ticket an asset; Ø Safe use and basic maintenance of mig welder, oxy acetylene, plasma cutter; Ø Knowledge of drill press, chop saw, ironworker etc. an asset; Ø Overhead crane experience (ticket an asset); Ø Adherence to pre-established standards of performance, shop safety policies and procedures; Ø Maintain an efficient work environment within the department and on each task; Ø Consistently punctual and available for 40 hrs/week and overtime as required; Ø Perform other duties as assigned. *Terms of Employment:* Ø Salary: $30-$34 per hour; Ø Post: Full time permanent position; Ø Shift hours: Monday to Thursday, 6:30am ? 5:00pm (OT on Friday as required); Ø Place of work: 5903 - 45 Street, Leduc, Alberta, T9E 7B3 *Benefits:* Ø Extended Health Care Benefits/Life insurance Ø Paid sick days Ø Vacation pay Ø RRSP match Ø Fitness/Wellness Benefit Ø Boot/Clothing allowance Ø Prescription safety glasses allowance Ø Tools supplied Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $27.00-$34.00 per hour Additional pay: * Overtime pay Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care * Life insurance * RRSP match * Vision care Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * 10 hour shift * Day shift * Monday to Friday * Overtime * Weekends as needed Experience: * Fitting: 2 years (preferred) Work Location: In person- LocationLeduc, AB
