*Job description* *The Opportunity* Horizon CPA is a mid-size professional accounting firm located in downtown Vancouver. We provide hands-on accounting, tax compliance, advisory and financial planning services to entrepreneurs, professional corporations and other privately-owned entities. We are looking for experienced and/or senior accountants who are currently completing or about to complete the CPA program to join our team. As part of our team, you will be responsible for: * Preparing/reviewing T1s, T4s, T5s, T3s, and GST/PST returns * Preparing/reviewing compilation and review engagements * Assisting with corporate tax planning and other tax-related tasks * Building positive working relationships with clients and responding to enquiries * Assisting with the training and development of junior team members *Future Development* As you gain more experience, you will be assigned to more challenging and complex jobs, developing your technical tax knowledge and other enabling competencies required for the CPA designation. *Keys to Your Success* * Just like us, you are a tenacious self-starter. * You have excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. * You are resourceful, capable of working independently, and takes initiative. * You have above-average time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines. * You are technology-savvy. * You can learn new applications and follow workflow processes quickly.
