*Job Overview* We are currently seeking an Estimator (Sheet Metal/ HVAC/ Piping), wage will be determined and based on experience. The successful candidate will provide knowledge and input into the following areas: *Key Responsibilities* * Provide full mechanical estimates including all piping take offs * Interpreting and analyzing mechanical drawings and specifications * Coordinating efforts with suppliers in order to compile full competitive estimates within strict deadlines * Analyzes documents, specifications, proposals, addendums in preparation for pricing * Performs all estimate related oral and/or written communications * Performs quantity take-off from construction drawings * Obtain pricing from suppliers and incorporate into estimates * Formulate all costs for tender submissions - labor, equipment, materials, rentals and subcontracts * Accountable for accuracy and completeness of tender submissions * Oversees the distribution of appropriate documentation appropriately upon award of project * Provide debrief upon award of project with field staff * Assists with RFP's and General Contract tender submissions * Assists with Pre-qualification submissions, RFQ's and RFI's as required *Required Knowledge and Experience* * Prior mechanical/pipping estimating is an asset * Ability to read and understand construction drawings and contract documents * Thorough knowledge of contract language and the ability to interpret * Self-motivated leader with excellent organizational skills * Strong communication skills - oral and written * Ability to work accurately, effectively under pressure * Adaptable to flexible work schedule when required to meet deadlines * Ability to work with others as a team * Valid driver's license with clean driving record *Preference will be given to candidates who have the following experience:* * Proficiency with the creation and submission of prequalification documents * An extensive track record as it relates to successful tender awards and prequalification awards * Some time spent in the field as a tradesman and/ or supervisor Job Type: Full-time Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care * On-site parking Schedule: * Monday to Friday Work Location: In person- LocationLondon, ON
