The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing accurate financial reporting. *Responsibilities*
* Prepare and maintain accounting, statistical, and financial reports
* Daily sales entry from POS (Microsoft Dynamics GP) and month-end reconciliation
* Prepare and post journal entries on a regular basis and maintain account balances in the company?s accounting system for all store locations
* Reconcile invoices with remittances and upload to appropriate folder in Drive
* Correct entry and management of CapEx expenses
* Regular organization and submission of coupons
* Bank reconciliations
* Month End JE and financial statement preparation
* Assist the Controller/Director and Assistant Controller with annual budget preparation
* Assist with various automation projects including testing and implementation
* Manage flyer revenue - create invoices and track receivables
* Manage Evoke ND/The Pomme Clinic monthly invoice billing
* Enter internal transfers
* Prepare trial balance and reconcile credit cards and general ledger accounts
* Calculation and preparation of monthly GST and PST remittances
* Monthly credit card reconciliation and payment
* Perform other bookkeeping services like investigating and resolving internal and external inquiries, payment discrepancies, and outstanding payables and receivables
* Manage vendor relations by resolving associate problems and build effective partnerships while staying in compliance with company policies and procedures
* Contribute to Ad hoc projects like ?Live Inventory? to implement process improvements and control
* General office administration duties including opening and distributing mail and answering phones
* Manage and update suppliers ?to watch for? form
* Handle requests from store management for invoice copies, documentation, etc.
* Additional projects assigned by senior accounting staff
*Qualifications/Requirements:*

* Accounting diploma or equivalent required
* Working towards a CPA designation an asset
* Experience using Microsoft Dynamics/Great Plains accounting software is an asset
* Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google platforms
* Self-starter; have the ability to work independently or as a team
* Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
* Strong organizational skills
* Excellent analytical skills
* Excellent time management skills
* Have an eye for detail
* Ask for help if you are unable to complete something by the deadline
