Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Tasks: Professionalism in customer service. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : AZ class license. Air Brake (Z) Endorsement. Driver's License (Class 1 or A). Documentation knowledge: Accident or incident reports. Bill of lading. Driver logbook. Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip). Maintenance and repair reports. Trip reports. Type of trucking and equipment: Flatbed. Tractor-trailer. Transportation/travel experience: Long-haul. Provincial/territorial. Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Drive manual transmission vehicle. Valid driver's licence. Willing to travel for extended periods. Willing to travel overnight. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Physically demanding. Weight handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Hard hat. Steel-toed safety boots. Tools. Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years. Workplace information: On the road job.
