<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p><strong>Job Description:</strong> This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their work and is flexible in their approach. The primary responsibility of this position (approximately 80% of the time) is truck driving, which involves picking up materials from clients, delivering materials to receivers, and participating in collection events offsite. The remaining 20% of the time will be spent on-site as a waste technician, handling both hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials. This includes shipping and receiving, material collection, sorting, packaging, and other related tasks.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Operate AZ and DZ trucks for transportation purposes</li><li>Load and unload materials manually (physical work involved)</li><li>Manage inventories of hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials</li><li>Sort, identify, and label waste materials</li><li>Prepare and review shipping documents</li><li>Maintain compliance documentation as per regulations</li><li>Assist with household hazardous waste collection events at various sites</li><li>Assist with processing activities in the transfer station</li><li>Adhere to all health and safety requirements</li><li>Work schedule: Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday shifts</li></ul><p><strong>General Qualifications & Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills</li><li>Valid AZ or DZ license (or close to obtaining AZ)</li><li>Responsible, reliable, and self-motivated</li><li>Physically fit for manual labor</li><li>Mechanical aptitude is advantageous</li><li>Environmentally conscious mindset</li><li>Knowledge of WHIMS and strong safety practices</li><li>Forklift experience (an asset)</li><li>Current first aid certificate (an asset)</li></ul><p><strong>Job Type:</strong> Full-time</p><p><strong>Salary:</strong> $24.00-$27.00 per hour</p><p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p><ul><li>Dental care</li><li>Extended health care</li></ul><p><strong>Schedule:</strong></p><ul><li>8-hour shifts</li><li>Weekends as needed</li></ul><p> </p></div></div>- LocationBracebridge, ON
