Northern Pulp has announced that its feasibility study has not reached the financial threshold to support the business case to build and operate a new mill in Liverpool. They have requested a 5-week extension to review the financial model which has been granted by the N.S. Government.
The N.S. government and Northern Pulp have reached a settlement agreement, that if approved, will see Northern Pulp do a feasibility study for operating a pulp and paper mill in Liverpool, as well as end legal battles and protect worker’s pensions.
